Landschaft Sale San Giovanni

How it all came about...

Hello, my name is Johanna. On a detour into self-employment, many coincidences led to me being able to lead our retreats today.

I originally come from a small village in Lower Austria, but have been living in Piedmont, my new adopted home, for some time.

It is completely different than what I imagined Italy to be. Mountains, peaks, rocks, waves and snow certainly wouldn't have been the first things that came to mind when I thought of the country. And yet it all exists here (+ in the neighboring region of Liguria). In the morning on the mountain, ski touring or climbing and in the afternoon surfing at the sea. All of this is possible and that makes me incredibly happy. Even though I sometimes miss Vienna and life in the big city (+ friends and family of course), I appreciate the chance to be in nature a lot and have so many opportunities to be active.

Of course there is also the cultural aspect... however, I felt at home relatively quickly. Oh, and the food, yeah, you can't complain about that either.

All in all, I'm a big fan of Piedmont and love sharing my enthusiasm with others. After doing this with various friends and family members, I came up with the idea of sharing this special place with more people.

Already in 2018, after six months as a supervisor in a surf camp, I realized that I really enjoyed working in this type of tourism; probably even more than any other job I've ever done. I also met my partner Pablo there.

With all of this and training as a tourism clerk, I then decided to start my own project together with Pablo. An 'active retreat' in my new home. So an active, all-inclusive holiday in small groups, where we, together with partners from the surrounding area, bring our guests closer to our homeland with a sporting focus. There are enough options! To do this, and to make everything as varied as possible, we constantly explored and continue to explore the area between the so-called 'Marine Alps', the Alpi Marittimi, and the nearby Ligurian Sea.
