Hello everyone & welcome to our Blog. My name is Johanna and I am the main host of our Retreats. I will take you with us on our latest adventures be it climbing, doing yoga, discovering new places, cooking or simply enjoying our beautiful mountains. Whether it is during our Retreats or privately I will share some insights into our life here and talk about some topics that are important to us and in line with our Retreat's values.
First up: Mountain healing & about a very special sleeping location some time ago
We love our mountains here in Piedmont. Spectacular views. Empty hiking trails. Peaks up to 3841 meters.
Whether hiking, climbing, picnicking or enjoying an Aperol spritz at the hut afterwards.... our Maritime Alps are the ideal place to escape from everyday life and find some peace.
...5, 15 or 20 kilometers. Hiking trails for every level. Climbing walls from beginner to advanced. A multitude of possibilities.
We believe that the mountains are a perfect place to heal and recharge energies. ...and while we try to show this to our guests during our Retreats, we also live this reality. Whether it is the fresh air, the stunning scenery, the cold river dips, the wild environment, the being far away from civilization or just the feeling, the moutains personally help us grow and balance.
So if you feel the same, join us and discover breathtaking nature, deserted mountain landscapes and even the occasional marmot.
Coming up: some footage of a 2 day trip up high sleeping in a tent
I have definitely never carried a backpack that big. It was as heavy as it seems, however, worth the effort. Apart from all the essentials we brought super confy sleeping matresses, super tasty (for being in the mountains almost fancy) food and beers - and then of course, all the climbing stuff because we then did a multi-pitch the day after.
Waking up early is sometimes really worth it! Trust me - I am also no morning person. ;)
Some evening action with friends setting up our very private crack.
Room for the night. <3
Being high up in the wall.
...and to finish off, one of my favorites of the trip.
Cheers & until our next Blog Post.
